I’ve heard women complain about dark thighs on their skin especially women with a level of fat in their body. Dark thighs are sometimes caused by allergies from intake of certain drugs, friction and also hormonal imbalance from menstrual periods or probably pregnancy. But this problem can certainly be solved in a two step treatment using natural ingredients.
Antioxidants fight premature ageing of the skin due to heat, light, pollution and free radicals. Coffee contains antioxidant powers which are released when brewed therefore reducing signs of ageing. It is no news that coffee removes under eye puffiness and dark spot as a result of the presence of caffeine in it. Coffee also ex-foliates skin from dead cells, removes cellulite, tighten pores, calm inflamed skin and brighten the skin.
Baking soda can be used as a facial cleanser to remove dead skin cells, oil or dirt from the skin helping to unclog pores and prevent skin conditions such as acne. Baking soda is also perfect for an acne treatment, particularly when combined with another all-natural product would help soothe and treat breakout spots as well as reduce blackheads and shrink pores. Baking soda can also be used as a makeup remover hen mixed with water, it also brightens the skin.
Coconut oil as earlier stated in previous articles is an excellent massage oil that acts as an effective moisturiser on all types of skin, including dry skin. It also helps in treating various skin problems, including psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema and other skin infections, delaying the appearance of wrinkles and sagging of skin, which normally accompanies ageing as a result of its antioxidant properties. Coconut oil is useful for weight loss too, It contains short and medium-chained fatty acids that help in taking off excessive weight. Research suggests that coconut oil helps to reduce abdominal obesity in women. It also increases the body’s metabolic rate by removing stress on the pancreas, thereby burning more energy and helping obese and overweight people lose weight.
Brown sugar is extremely soft and gentle on the skin which makes it a good exfoliating agent for dead skin cells and dry skin type. Sugar also helps to brighten the skin and allow the opening of pores so as to let whatsoever treatment you use get into your pores and perform its duty. It also contains alpha hydroxyl acid crucial for maintaining a healthy skin, it can also be used as a moisturiser.
Yoghurt is a perfect skin brightener and skin exfoliator as a result of the lactic acid present in it. It also removes fine lines, wrinkles thereby slowing then ageing process, it moisturises the skin, evens skin tone on all body parts, tightens skin pores. It cooling and gentle effect helps in relaxing tension and stress on the skin which might come as a result of a long day at work. It is also heals sun tans and reduces skin irritations.
Tomato enables the skin to receive oxygen, therefore reduces the signs of ageing and wrinkles from accumulating on the skin. It also reduces the harmful effect that excessive exposure to the sun brings (sun burns).It is also a skin brightener which improves skin glow and makes skin tone more visible and radiant as a result of its vitamin A and C while removing debris and protecting the skin from ultraviolet rays.
METHOD OF PREPARATION
First step treatment:
- Put half table spoon of coffee into a bowl or plate.
- Add one table spoon of baking soda into the same bowl.
- Then add half table spoon of coconut oil into same bowl.
- Add up one table spoon of brown sugar into the bowl and stir.
Second step treatment:
- Put two table spoon of yoghurt on a bowl or plate.
- Grate tomatoe and sieve out juice into the same bowl or blend tomato.
Apply first step treatment on the affected area, massage the area generously for the treatment to dissolve into the skin. Wash it off and then apply second step treatment and wash off.
